Sunday 1st March 2020 - Bamford to Castleton Walk Leader - David Torrington Distance - 6.75 miles Terrain - undulating, mainly across fields, clear paths and quiet road Weather - bright, windy and chilly Walkers - 41 Non Walkers - 4 New walkers, Christine and Jane welcomed to the group. Starting from Bamford, today’s walk took in historic Bamford mill before progressing through the village of Thornhill. Walk Leader - Dave Tyson Distance - 8.5 miles Terrain - predominantly flat on bridleways, farm tracks, deciduous woodland Weather - early drizzle, giving way to a bright, sunny afternoon New walkers, Sarah, Lorraine, Paula & Gordon we’re welcomed to the group. With no non-walkers today, 45 walkers began today’s romp around Robin Hood country starting from the lovely Rufford Abbey.
